Eco label California Rising, launched in 2006 by Joshua Lloyd Fischer and Jules Blaine Davis, has added ecommerce to its site, beginning with offerings for women and hats, with men and baby soon to come. Sold at retailers such as Fred Segal Fun, Neiman Marcus, Kitson and Vie, the line utilizes hemp, organic cotton and organic slub jersey to create comfy casual wear, at times incorporating artsy, nature-inspired graphics. Price points for women's spring '08 run $66 for a striped razorback long tank to $140 for a hooded, long-sleeve dress.
