Those chaps and horrible black streaks are long gone for Christina Aguilera, who charmed shoppers at Macy's Herald Square in NYC to the tune of $50K with her new Inspire fragrance. WWD reports: "...industry sources estimate that Aguilera’s new fragrance generated about $50,000 in retail sales over the holiday weekend in the Herald Square flagship alone. Estimates were not available for the final tally at Tuesday’s appearance, but there was a sellout of 500 special $200 packs created for the event, according to sources."

Around 300 people came out to have their bottles signed between 5pm-6pm, part of which generated "the biggest fragrance launch we’ve ever had there," for P&G Prestige Products Inc., the singer's fragrance licensee. The scent, which retails for $49-$59, is available at Macy's and Dillard's through the holidays, with wider distribution to follow. Aguilera fans will be happy to hear that she's confirmed a personal appearance for the fragrance at Macy's in LA in December.
