Storecasting: Bellissimo Venice in Former Robin's Nest Space

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Sadly, Robin's Nest Quality Convenience Market closed a couple months ago, but via Yo! Venice!, we find Bellissimo Venice in its place, steps from the beach at 68 North Venice Boulevard: "Ronen Helmann, the super outgoing and easy going new proprietor promises to more than double the inventory of 'organic and gourmet food from around the world,'" which includes local organic produce, specialty beverages, cheeses, meats, treats like artisan marshmallows, and "the best coffee in Venice...ground to order from fresh beans roasted weekly at La Mill, and poured through the Cadillac of espresso machines." What the post doesn't say is whether it's in fact opened for business or not. We called several times and got an outgoing message, which said it would be opening soon to the public.
