We simply do not understand. A ton of celebs participate in this Stuart Weitzman shoe auction to fight ovarian cancer—Jessica and Ashlee Simpson, Eva Longoria, Blake Lively, Brooke Shields, etc, etc—and the vast majority are hideous! Even if it's for a good cause, no one wants to spend $200-$500 on something they'd rather not have lying around, even in the depths of their closet. Many of the pairs are clearly not meant to be worn (Zooey Deschanel's look to have Tonka truck wheels on the botton), and we don't understand this either. Who wants an ugly pseudo-sculpture? We say, bag the celebs: A pair of plain Stuart Weitzman pumps, perhaps with the ribbon subtly on the interior of the shoe, would be so much prettier—most of these are bringing down the cause.
