Earnest Sewn, which will be opening on Beverly Boulevard in January per its website, also has a working phone number for the 1,400-square-foot space its leased in the Malibu Country Mart. No one to answer the phone yet, but the message says it's opening September 30. A DNR article from early this year describes a "general-store look" for the Malibu shop "using reclaimed wood, historic lighting fixtures on the exterior, and filling it with antiques and artifacts from yesteryear, much as he has done with the 2,200-square-foot Meatpacking District store...in addition to Earnest Sewn product the new store will sell a carefully curated group of third-party brands, such as Filson bags and Jorg & Olif bicycles." And, of course, those made-to-measure jeans. [DNR]
