Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
The grocery chain has revamped its site to make it as cushy browsing as it is shopping in its stores. The homepage now has in-store deals, latest store openings, recent blog posts, and featured recipes. The grocer is really excited about the interactivity (there's now a forums section), but the most exciting feature is the recipe section, which you can browse by dish type, main ingredient, conveniences (budget, entertaining, no-cook, etc) and special diets (gluten free, low fat, high fiber, vegan, etc), and then people can rate them. If you register, you can "save" recipes—which the Chunky Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies with Fleur de Sel look pretty damn amazing. You can also make a particular store "my store," which then links to events. [Whole Foods]
