At most two-year-old birthday fetes, apple juice, cupcakes and Dora The Explorer toys suffice. At Abbot Kinney's ecookie this past week, treats from Crumbs Bake Shop fed that omni-present sweet tooth, but a celebration (commemorating two years in LA) was toasted with slightly harder stuff and activities like grown up Peponi manicures and, well, shopping. Not only were guests hosted by the likes of Alice + Olivia, Elizabeth Cole Jewelry, Butter By Nadia, Thea Grant Jewelry and Jack Rabbit (complete with end of season sample sale), but these labels presented their newest wares too.
