A sketch of a spring '09 look; a fall '08 cami from the designer
A sketch and of description of Rebecca Taylor's spring '09 collection fell into our inbox from the NYC designer's PR. It's got Taylor's stamp of boho femininity, which per the release is "inspired by the global traveler, flowers from her home garden, and ethnic prints with a feminine twist. Print mixed tops and dresses, light weight cashmere cardigans, and versatile bohemian beaded pieces that will transition seamlessly from day to night round out the collection. The color palette includes pretty, dreamy colors with shots of purple crayon, watermelon, and apple green." And she's so sweet her lips are heart-shaped and stars emanate from her body!
Spring '09 maybe far off on the retail front, but you can get a dose of Taylor's fluttery offerings for fall Thursday, September 4 from 2pm-7pm at West 3rd Street boutique Polkadots & Moonbeams, which is hosting a Rebecca Taylor trunk show. The entire fall/holiday collection will be avail for viewing/purchasing (through Sunday, September 7), plus champagne and Joan's on Third cupcakes. [RackedWire]
