American Apparel has used buttons before—on cardigans, on unbuttoned-to-the-naval henleys—but now it's jumped into J.Crew territory with its Unisex Pinpoint Oxford shirt ($54). Offered in either blue or gray (coral coming soon), the retailer sells the button-downs with its signature sexified poses and ironic glasses. What's next? Khakis?
