Designer Collabs: Samantha Pleet's Rapscallion for Urban Outfitters

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

And the designer collabs for Urban Outfitters just keep coming—this one hot off the heels of last week's news that Spring & Clifton and Grey Ant will be creating exclusive collections for the chain. The Pipeline posts images from Samantha Pleet's collection designed for UO, Rapscallion, which will be in-store in October. From the blog: "In Rapscallion, she recasts her goth-and-lollipops tea dresses and rompers for the mass market. The color palette is darker, the materials are less silky, but the combination between cupie doll and coquette Pleet brings to every collection is there in spades. Prepare yourself, suburbia." We have to say that Urban Outfitters has been making some impressive indie designer collab choices.
