WWD Executive Editor Bridget Foley was at Paris’ Charles de Gaulle at 6:45am when she spotted Marc Jacobs at a new LVMH airport shop. Per WWD B, Jacobs was eyeing his Marc by Marc Jacobs handbag selection before boarding an Air France flight to NYC, and then to the Hamptons to hang with friends for the holiday. What did the fashion king buy? Of course, nothing from his own brand, but he did make some quick picks at Hermès "six leather bookmarks, each decorated with a different animal." He told Foley: “There will be six of us [for the weekend]...I figure there’ll be a lot of reading by the pool, so everybody will get one.” What, no gum? [WWD B]
