Reality of Fashion

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Since next season Project Runway moves over to Lifetime, Bravo is working on filling the reality/fashion TV gap. Per Entertainment Weekly via The Cut: "The new series called Fashion House is based on a U.K. series...'Teams of designers will live together and work to create an entire line—rather than just individual pieces—that has the potential to be purchased by commercial buyers'...We can hear the designers not getting along already. Maybe we won't miss Project Runway on Bravo after all. (Brave faces, people?)" [The Cut]
