Along with six other Ford dealerships in SoCal, Pasadena Ford is taking a buyout from national Ford Motor Co., slated to stop selling Fords August 15 and shutting its doors for good on August 30. Pasadena Ford President Larry Reemtsen told the Pasadena Star-News: "With the economy, and $5 gasoline dragging down sales, we decided it would be best to take the money...Ford is probably about two years from starting to make money again." If you're looking for a Ford, this also means it's a good time to buy. Reemsten told the paper: "Anything we don't move we have to sell back to Ford at their price...So it is a good time to get a deal here." [Pasadena Star-News]
