Nordstrom and developer Macerich announced today that the Seattle-based retailer has signed on to open at Santa Monica Place, the new mall by 3rd Street Promenade. Per PR Newswire: the "specialty retailer, has signed a letter of intent to open a new Nordstrom store at Santa Monica Place in Santa Monica, Calif. The three-level, 122,000-square-foot store is scheduled to open in fall 2010." According to Macerich's Santa Monica Place site, this is the first officially announced retailer for the shopping center. [PR Newswire]
