Travant Mann, who was #1 in line at The Grove Apple Store and waited since noon yesterday, finally came out a bit after 10am with an iPhone! Travant told Racked "It took an hour just to get the phone to him. Then, AT&T issues delayed the whole deal." He looked a bit worse for wear, but had enough energy to smile and talk to the press.
As we reported, there were well over 320 people in line by 7:49am—people all the way down the mall's "Main Street." There were provisions, namely, donuts given out by Farmer's Market/The Grove personnel, and people definitely partook. Apple Store employees were providing bottled water. The camera crews were in abundance from Entertainment Tonight, KNBC and G4 TV to KRWB radio and SunnyinLA.com.
