Two months after opening its doors on the 6th Street side of the SB Lofts, women's boutique 43 Styles has closed shop. Per Angelenic, owner Victor Witold cited "weak sales" as the reason for closure, and the space will become a "flexible multi-purpose studio."

Also, gourmet chocolate shop Joy of Life, which opened in January in the Toy Factory Lofts shuttered last month. Angelenic concludes: "In Downtown’s still-maturing market, the cards are always stacked against the success of new businesses, and two recent retail closures prove some local neighborhoods cannot yet provide the demand to fill niche supply."
