Eco activewear/casualwear label Nau opened and closed at the Beverly Center in the blink of an eye, but Santa Barbara-based Horny Toad has come to the rescue. Still no Beverly Center shop, but per PR Newswire: "Horny Toad Activewear, Inc. is proud to announce that it has acquired the Nau brand," after it was unable to secure additional financing in early May. The new Nau—Nau 2.0— will launch in August 1, 2008 with the fall/holiday collection. Nau will not have its own retail stores, but will continue to sell at nau.com and at "like-minded retailers." It will also continue its blog The Thought Kitchen. Nau spring/summer is available online through July at reduced prices. [PR Newswire]
