French label Paul & Joe Sister is the latest release in an onslaught of designer collaborations at the mid-market chain. In line with Urban's other collabs, the label has created an exclusive collection for the retailer, Rendez-Vous by Paul & Joe Sister. On the UO blog, designer Sophie Albou describes how the line came about: "Due to the success of Paul & Joe® Sister at Urban Outfitters in Europe, they contacted us to develop a line exclusively for Urban Outfitters in the United States. Being complementary to each other we create a great mix with the French Parisian touch and the fresh American appeal."
The range of easy summer dresses, prim ruffled bib blouses and shorts with pleat detailing accomplishes what Albou calls "a city-inspired collection—stylish with a fresh essence of schoolgirl styling—made for a fresh, young and feminine urban girl." It's not at the regular UO prices however, climbing with this collection to $128-$228, based on the online selection. Does this signal future price increases in general at Urban, particularly with these collabs?
