This could be very, very awesome. Per the Independent via Dwell's blog, James Dyson of friggin' incredible vacuum cleaner fame, is working on "a new generation of solar-powered, electric cars... Dyson believes that his lightweight, high-power motor will be able to increase an electric cars’ speed and mileage-per-charge," with a voltaic solar charge. Hopefully this will outdo current electric car options, for instance: "An eight-hour charge allows some models to travel a maximum of 40 miles at around 30 miles per hour." [Dwell]
