Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Rackage is a look inside recently-opened stores around town. Today, let's look inside Rebecca Norman in Solana Beach.
This is definitely further afield than usual, but jewelry designer Rebecca Norman has had a definite presence in LA and LA area boutiques, and, well, you might just find yourself in Solana Beach, about 100 miles south, and in desperate need of a wave of delicate gold bangles or stacked gold and silver rings with recesses of diamonds. The designer has moved into a larger storefront at 130 South Cedros Avenue after a couple years in a tucked away, smaller space. Per the release: "The 400 square feet of space has wall-to-wall pebble stone ?ooring and glass cases with an organic and architectural ?air. The merchandise selection has expanded to include art glass collections, more Rebecca Norman hand stitched leather goods, scarves, fashion accessories, and one-of-a-kind gifts." Now, if the next move would take her 100 miles north we'd be really happy. Along with being stocked in Neiman's, Bloomingdale's and Saks, you can also order online.
