Jewelry boutique Broken English took over Brentwood Country Mart courtyard this weekend to celebrate its one year anniversary. The cocktail party also served as a premiere party for the store's first short film Parmi Les Vivants! (“Among the Living”). The subtitled French film follows a group of thieves who rob a jewelry store. Store owner Laura Freedman, who, with her jewelry, also appears in the film, told Racked she finds it important to utilize many different creative outlets and that the film serves as a fresh way to model the jewelry.

The film will serve as part of the shop's visual display; it will be looped on small vintage television screens in the storefront’s window.
