Pasadena's got a new tea spot, Bird Pick Tea & Herb, which just opened last week. Per Eater: "The tea house and shop is the first from the family that founded Wing Hop Fung in Chinatown and Monterey Park...the company owns their own tea estates in Guangzhou, Zhejian, and Fujian China, including an organic tea garden that produces their own brand of teas, all sold under the Bird Pick brand." In terms of the selections: "There are jars of loose Japanese and Chinese teas, beautifully boxed tea bags, and lovely tea pot sets." Eater was particularly impressed and refreshed by the pomegranate juice-black iced tea. Look for expansion of Bird Pick possible in West LA and Santa Monica.
