Stiletto Fumble: Il Primo Passo and Jazzmun Teach You How to Walk

Left to right: student Kristina Marzec, Queen Jazzmun, and student Libby Littlejohn at Il Primo Passo's high heel walking class

Last month, designer shoe boutique Il Primo Passo in Santa Monica held its first-ever high heel walking class, conducted by Queen Jazzmun, a transvestite performer/actor, who you may recognize from The 40 Year Old Virgin—that party-for-two scene with Steve Carell and the prostitute. The class was so successful—great response from attendees, the LA Times wrote a piece on it—the boutique is going for a second round Tuesday, June 24 at 8pm, with hot dogs, champagne and shopping (heels are 15% off during the hour) starting at 7pm. To get an idea, the LAT describes it thusly:

"Jazzmun's tutelage is more about empowerment than step-by-step instruction. You learn to fix your gaze on a point on the horizon to steady your balance and to thrust out your hip to ensure that you look sexy and confident."

The timing of the first class, right on the very-high-heels of all the SATC hype, was very savvy. And given the media attention and women who want to take the class again (guess they're going for a master's), space is limited for the $25 session. RSVP at (310) 828-4149.
