Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
One, two, three, four "for lease" signs posted on Memenic's storefront! The West 3rd Street boutique, steps west of Sweetzer, offers "European clothes not sold in the U.S. Designers include AB Soul, Nocturne, Knitwear Queen, Onjoo Mac and I by Lynne Mackie," per its site, and looks like its nearly Discontinued. When we stopped in and asked about the boutique's status, the person manning the shop said she didn't know what was going on. The space was gussied up some months ago, but, apparently, the sales aren't coming in fast enough. What perplexes us is the "help wanted" sign in the window. [RackedWire]
