We were just Storecasting Nau, which very recently opened in the Beverly Center, only to find that the eco-active/lifestyle company is shutting down. From TreeHugger: "Nau is closing its doors and winding down its business, effective immediately. One of our favorite brands, Nau combined high performance apparel with sleek design and thoughtful, green materials; their collections included everything from rain gear to shorts and organic cotton denim to polo shirts..." Online, Nau is offering 50% off everything and "is in the process of determining how long the website will remain open. Shop now and you'll be buying a piece of history." A tipster also expressed regrets at the closure: "Hello. I thought that you might want to know that nau, which just opened it's fifth retail location in Beverly Center recently, is shutting down. The company couldn't garner enough venture capital to continue business...They have a letter expressing their sadness and thanks on the homepage of their website. (www.nau.com) They were a really great company and I'm sad to see them go."
