LACMA Free Mondays

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Sponsored by Target, go to LACMA for free, from noon-8pm, Monday, May 26. Per LACMA, "Visitors of all ages are invited to a free day at the museum featuring live performances, artist-led workshops and demonstrations, and self-guided activities. Explore contemporary sculpture created by artists who think big! Experience works by Richard Serra, Chris Burden, Tony Smith, Robert Therrien, and more. Swing to the big band sounds of Art Deco and His Society Orchestra, and create your own sizable art work in workshops with artists Ismael de Anda and Eszter Delgado... performance and art workshops from 12:30 to 4 pm." There are only three more Free Mondays slated for this year, and considering the regular $8-$12 admission fee, it's definitely a deal. [Racked Inbox]
