Furniture store Room & Board has just leased a 40,000-square-foot space at 9300 Culver Boulevard in Culver City in a new development, Plaza at Culver Studios, slated to begin construction this summer, with the store to open in early 2010. Per Commercial Property News, Plaza at Culver Studios is "an 118,500-square-foot, three-story mixed-use building," of which "Room & Board is the first retail tenant to sign onto this mixed-use project...The home furnishing retailer will occupy 17,000 square feet on the ground floor and 23,000 square feet on the second floor of the project." This is Room & Board's first LA store. [Commercial Property News]
