Another retailer closes up shop on La Brea, adding to the growing list, which includes Publik Park, Yellow, Lily Savitch, Iconology, and Sugar on La Brea. This time it's furniture store Silho. Per an email from the store: "Silho Furniture is closing our retail store at 142 N La Brea Ave on June 15th. Starting this weekend we are having a 50% off sale. All floor sample upholstery, case goods and accessories are included. See our website for more specifics. We will also be extending our hours to be open on Sundays 12 - 5PM." It's sad to see the store go, as it showcased owners Michelle Wayson and Jason Martin's handcrafted modern pieces, which have an organic, earthly feel. The good news is that they will continue to offer the Silho line online.
