Launches & Releases: Hawks by Geren Ford for Urban Outfitters

Though there are certainly not as many looks as the preview at this point, Urban Outfitters sent out an email introducing the Hawks by Geren Ford line, designed by LA designer Geren Lockhart of Geren Ford. There are eight items in all, but in a number of different color options, which significantly increases the online offerings. Highlights include the Sailor Dress in mocha ($118), the chambray sailor shorts ($58), and the cut-out slip top in teal ($68).

From Urban's blog, Lockhart said of the designing the line: "It was so exciting and still is so exciting to think that maybe we can take some chances that we don't get rewarded for when working on the main collection...shorter, sexier, more open, less conventional. It's fun to have a new girl to appeal too."
