Oscar de la Renta, Hugo Boss—now Dov Charney. The man behind American Apparel was named Retailer of the Year at the 15th Annual Michael Awards in NYC last week. Per PR Newswire, President/Founder of the Micheal Awards Steve Shor said at the ceremony: "American Apparel's high-quality, Made in USA clothing, together with the company's progressive business practices and provocative advertising campaigns, have set the company apart as a fascinating story in the fashion world." Say what you will about Dov, the guy is very, very successful. Just open up your drawer and count those AA tees you didn't even know you had. [PR Newswire]
