Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Opened just last Thursday, it seems that Vince—the LA-based label which made a name for itself with its cashmere sweaters—has taken its new space on Robertson Boulevard rather quietly. Mannequins are placed energetically on bikes in the storefront, as well as inside, holding "I just met Vince" shopping bags (which has a "Meet Mark" cosmetics ad campaign vibe). Other than the bikes, the boutique is simply designed with racks lining the left and right walls, plus a few brightly-hued tees and tanks placed on a center display that runs nearly the length of the shop. We would've expected a bit more of a cozy direction from the brand with the lovely sweaters, but the focus is much more about the entire range of dresses and separates, here.
