Neighborhood Watch: Spirituali, Gas Bijoux Closing, Lots of "For Lease" Signs Nearby

Retail might be mushrooming on the other end of Melrose Avenue around Melrose Place, but between Fairfax and Crescent Heights, an area that seemed to be burgeoning, it's a different story. Along with the boutiques shuttering shortly, there are already a slew of retail spaces for lease.

1) Spirituali: The bohemian nexus has had a “For Lease” sign up for a few weeks and confirmed today it's shuttering. The boutique is being tight-lipped about the actual closing date and is offering no discounts on current merch, likely since its boutique on Larchmont will remain open.

2) Gas Bijoux: Just a few doors down, French jewelry store Gas Bijoux is also for lease. Sales staff told Racked the shop never did as well as its New York location, and will be closed by the end of the month. As a parting gift, the boutique is offering 25% off all jewelry and 50% off all clothes until it closes for good.
