Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Via Apartment Therapy, we find out that Henry Road—the vibrant and print-centric furnishings, home wares and accessories co. designed by South African-bred, LA-based designer Paula Smail—has just opened up its first shop in Studio City, just south of Ventura Boulevard and two blocks west of Laurel Canyon. The grand opening is this weekend, May 3 and 4, per Henry Road: " We're celebrating all weekend with a 'Mad Tea Party' catered by our friend Lisa, from Cake Monkey. The opening of the wonderful photography of writer/ director, TJ Scott will be in the evening of May 3 from 6 to 9." Also, free "goodies" with every purchase. Those cakes may be enough to lure us.
