Rackage is a look inside recently-opened stores around town. Today, let's look inside Show Pony in Echo Park.
When we found out that Show Pony in Echo Park had reopened after its three-month closure, we had to go check it out. The boutique still captures the eclectic spirit of owner Kime Buzzelli—feminine whimsy included—but in a shinier environment. Merchandise is carefully edited, which means you can properly focus on its various elements, from the Smoke & Mirrors cocktail dresses and Jenny Dayco's glam jewelry to Laura Kranitz' amazing feather headpieces and Buzzelli's girlish-yet-edgy paintings. Other highlights included Miss KK suede jackets which have a very cool deco, futuristic appeal and deconstructed button-downs by Tailored by Nina Lucas.
