Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
We finally got up to The Circle Indie Designer Outlet on Glendale Boulevard in Silver Lake. Often mistaken as just a sample sale, The Circle is in fact a boutique with normal hours—noon-7pm daily. It is a bit of a gloomy shopping experience, just racks and racks, not much light and a seemingly makeshift dressing room area. What we liked about The Circle is that it carries tons of LA indie designers, such as Grey Ant, Quail, Mon Petit Oiseau, Oligo Tissew, and Figment (now Maxine Dillon). The big scores on our particular trip were Daftbird V-necks and LD Tuttle sandals. Across the street from Panty Raid and around the corner from Silver Lake Wine, it makes for a nice little shopping trip.
