Another independent bookstore is on the brink of closure. A tipster forwarded us this note from Caryn Gilbert from The BookHouse: "It is with a heavy heart that I announce the closing of The BookHouse. It's been both a pleasure and a privilege to serve as South Pasadena's only independent second-hand bookshop and I want to thank you, my loyal customers, for your ongoing support. My last business day will be Sunday, June 15th." As a result, everything must go, with storewide clearance—40% off hardcovers, consignment items at 30% off, gift items half-off, and soon, even the fixtures and bookcases. [Racked Inbox]
