We were impressed that an 85-year-old hardware shop exists in Culver City, only to find out it's closing up shop. Per Curbed: "Stellar True Value Hardware store at 3838 Main Street...is closing. But don't blame the real estate downturn or a rent hike for this one. 'We're retiring,' co-owner Jack Barton tells Curbed. Last day to buy your saws, nails, and such is May 25th." But they're going to miss out on the new hip Culver City everyone keeps trying to sell us on. [Curbed]
