After a speedy name change—going from Envi to Vie—owner Rachel Hurn-Maloney opened the doors to her eco-focused West 3rd Street boutique last night to an energetic crowd of fam, friends and guests. Since we last photographed the space, Hurn-Maloney had finished up the back room, which now houses men's apparel and the dressing rooms. She'd also got in more merch, and the courtyard out back was spiffed up for the party with banquettes, fountain, DJ, and food from The Little Next Door. After contending with a Boston-based boutique with the name Envi, Hurn-Maloney decided to start afresh with Vie, and seemed relieved and afresh herself, literally beaming at the end of the night when she made her first sale.
