Melrose Heights: We've seen the plywood. We've seen images of the other Alexander McQueen boutiques from NYC to Vegas, but we haven't yet seen the interior of the designer's shop coming to Melrose Avenue, opening on Monday, April 7. Here's a first look of the 3,100 square-foot store in construction. Walking through, it feels surprisingly intimate, despite the high ceilings. It's an "L" shape with a parking lot in back, which may be the "private drive." Everything is a curve and does feel like shelves and arches are cut out of a single mold. The long hallways, which are fairly narrow, bode well for meandering the racks, lingering and buying.
