Rackage: Inside DCMA Collective on Martel Avenue

Rackage is a look inside recently-opened stores around town. Today, let's check out DCMA Collective on Martel Avenue, just south of Melrose.

There was much fanfare over streetwear brand DCMA Collective opening up a retail shop on Martel Avenue, off of Melrose—in part because Good Charlotte band-mates and twin brothers Joel and Benji Madden are the face of the company, but mostly because Joel is Nicole Richie's baby-daddy and Benji is Paris Hilton's latest squeeze. As such, when we went in to check out the new shop, we were told that no one had really taken pictures of the clothes and space, despite the opening bash shortly before. What we found was the label' graphic tee and hoodies, plus collab shoes with K-Swiss, which will launch in fall but were out for display. Besides DCMA, the shop will carry a collection of basic American brands like Levi's, plus some harder-to-find items in the near future. Most impressive was the skate ramp, fashioned as an empty swimming pool, which takes up a good portion of the space. It's also the location of DCMA's offices and showroom, which are in fact bigger than the store itself and quite nice with exposed brick walls. If it weren't for the shop, we could move in.
