Storecasting alerts you to the latest retail developments around the city. We tip you and, hopefully, you'll tip us—send scoop and pics our way!

The Hikari Apartments at 375 East 2nd Street in Little Tokyo are getting some mixed-use action. Angelenic reports "a new clothing shop called Kimski Makes has installed storefront signage and will be opening its doors soon. The Japanese-owned boutique will sell contemporary, second-hand fashions."

American Apparel is moving right next door from its 2nd and Central location. The downtown blog notes, the T-shirt co. was "one of the first new-wave retailers to take a chance years ago on the then budding Little Tokyo neighborhood."

Also, around the corner, Yogurtland is nearly complete. Per the same post, "According to Kelli Rodriguez, a corporate spokesman for the company, says no official date is set, but the store will open sometime in late April/early May."
