We reported on Society for Rational Dress designer Corinne Grassini doing a private collection for Satine boutique last month when the range launched in Satine's just-opened Tokyo boutique. It's in-store today at Satine on West 3rd Street and we dropped in today to take a look. Satine by Corinne Grassini is a tight collection of burn-out tees and tanks with Grassini's signature hardware and ease in terms of fit. Ranging from $176-$195, the tops come in white, gray, a pinkish-purple, and caramel. Apparently, there was a vest as well, which sold out immediately. Satine owner Jeannie Lee said they'd rolled out the collection quietly but were getting calls from Vogue and other mags, which is fantastic news for Grassini, who puts out consistently strong collections with a very specific POV.
Also in-store is the latest from Satine's in-house label ($185-$285), which encapsulates a preppy femininity with striped button-downs and summery dresses with contrast collars or triangular smocking at the neckline, as well as white and gray shirt dress with epaulets. Lee also notes new line Rose, which has been selling like crazy since it's hit the racks.
