It's Storecasting time. Herein, we dish the scoop, scoop the dish, on the latest stores coming to your neighborhood. Stumble upon some local news? Snap a pic, pound the pavement, get the deets and send the intel our way. We'll feature your reports here.

Montana Avenue: Luxe home store Room with a View shuttered months ago after a 17-year run, leaving a two-level retail space up for grabs. We spied a sign indicating the proposed site project for the 1600 Montana Avenue address: "Facade remodel and sign plans for an incoming retail tenant, Williams-Sonoma." Also posted is a note from Room with a View—apparently, there are plans to reopen in the "near future," but with an "eco-friendly focus." Wonder if this means more big-box retailers for the area. Montana Ave-ers seem not nearly as concerned with the idea of incoming chains as the indie-retail minded denizens of Abbot Kinney. I.e. No uproar yet. [RackedWire]
