NATIONAL— For those who have wondered what Goodwill Industries is doing for them when they leave off their ratty old tees (besides the tax write-off), Barneys and upmarket eco-label Loomstate might have just the alternative. Per Fashionista, Beginning April 13, all Barneys locations will be taking T-shirt donations for Loomstate to re-purpose into suitably cool reincarnations and sell exclusively at the department store during the holiday season, with proceeds going to 1% for the Planet. Those who donate get 20% off Loomstate for 15 days in April. [Fashionista]

NATIONAL— DIY mag ReadyMade has made its April/May Green Design Issue available online, and, at least for the first issue, it's free. It looks like henceforth there will be some sort of monetary transaction involved, as the ReadyMade Blog mentions specifically that the "first virtual installment is completely free." Thankfully, you don't have to navigate the mag page-by-page, but can do so via a drop-down table of contents, or view the entire issue at once and then click on a page.
