This past weekend designer toy emporium Munky King on Melrose held a contest, featuring 200-plus portraits from pop culture artist Plasticgod. The hipster nerd contingent was there in full force, up for the challenge of identifying as many portraits as possible; winnings included tickets to a performance by indie band Digitalism and a custom P-God portrait. Genius portraits included the entire crew from The Breakfast Club (Molly Ringwald in pink top and brown leather skirt, included) and The Karate Kid (William Zabka anyone?). The small portraits go for $75-$90, while pieces that span an entire wall are serious investments at $7,000. [RackedWire]
