Three looks from Society for Rational Dresses' private Satine Collection
Influential West 3rd Street boutique Satine has expanded to the super fashionable Aoyama District in Tokyo, Japan, bringing with it pieces specifically made for Satine Japan from labels such as Thakoon, Alexander Wang and Steven Alan (who recently opened a boutique on Robertson Boulevard). Adding to the exclusivity, the boutique has collaborated with LA label Society for Rational Dress to create a private Satine by Corinne Grassini Collection, now available in Japan, which will be available locally at Satine April 15. The collection includes nine pieces - easy day-to-night tops and dresses. Grassini, the label's designer, told Racked LA: "For the Satine collection, Jeannie [Lee], the owner of Satine, and I went through past collections of mine and pulled looks that we both agreed would be great to reintroduce. We wanted a really wearable, comfortable look that would work well for both the Japanese and American market. What we came up with was a small group of tops and dresses based on past designs. From there I added a belt, a couple of bags and vests to round out the look."
