The holiday shopping parties are revving up around the city, filled with promises of merriment and good deals. And though holly is great and all, it's clear that retailers are hoping you'll deck the halls with new merch. We'll let you know about those of interest, and even if your pocketbook is not exactly overflowing, you can at least grab some spiked punch along the way.

LA designer Pamela Froman is celebrating her recent Town & Country Couture Design Award win with Holiday festivities throughout the weekend. Hosted by Froman and photog Jay Lawrence Goldman, there will 20% off purchases Saturday, December 6 and Sunday, December 7 from noon-6pm (JP Studios, 6139 Wilshire Boulevard). The designer will also be previewing her Ombre Crush collection, which will hit stores in '09.

On Saturday at 1pm and 4pm, feng shui expert and eco-minded interior designer Kim Colwell of the Shambhalla Institute will give an interactive talk about revitalizing and transforming your environment. Considering consultations at the institute run $160 an hour and classes are also pricey, this is definitely a considerable freebie. [RackedWire]
