Now Open: Fred Leighton on Rodeo

High-end jeweler Fred Leighton opened an 1,100-square-foot Nicolo Bini-designed boutique on Rodeo yesterday, which FWD reports "includes corporate offices and a private viewing room" and has a "a modern aesthetic accented with charming art deco touches."

Along with the current collection of gems, Fred Leighton owner Ralph Esmerian has culled together a special collection of "one-of-a-kind pieces from the 19th Century, art nouveau, art deco, and other periods of the 20th century," including a "ruby belt necklace that belonged to Mrs. Cole Porter (who later gave the necklace to Fred Astaire's daughter, Adele).
