So, we were a little too fashionably late to Alternative Apparel and Nylon mag’s Selma Limited Addition Holiday Party last night. We totally missed all the musical acts, including host Lukas Haas’ short set. We asked a guest who had caught the set what he thought of the actor’s performance, and he responded, “It was a performance. Let’s just leave it at that.”
But performers Lissie and Birdmonster stuck around for some free Sam Adams and organic hors d’oeuvres, and they seemed to be genuinely enjoying the party. Although a percentage of all proceeds went towards Global Green USA, we didn’t spot anyone actually shopping—just a lot of guys in plaid dancing alongside girls with intentionally messy hair.
