The holiday shopping parties are revving up around the city, filled with promises of merriment and good deals. And though holly is great and all, it's clear that retailers are hoping you'll deck the halls with new merch. We'll let you know about those of interest, and even if your pocketbook is not exactly overflowing, you can at least grab some spiked punch along the way.

In addition to Ethel and Romp on West 3rd Street, there's yet another holiday party going on at Avita Co-Op from 6pm-9pm (8213 West 3rd Street, 323-852-1716). The main event is a trunk show, featuring 15% off Stephanie Lodge Jewelry; her latest Stella Maris ('star of the sea' in Latin) collection benefits The Ocean Conservancy, which "promotes healthy and diverse ocean ecosystems and opposes practices that threaten ocean and human life." Along with drinks and snacks, there will also be 30% off Avita Collection, Evidence of Evolution, Perfectly Imperfect, Angel Court Jewelry, and Saundra Messinger, among others.
